Clutch & Throttle began with a dream… and two very good dogs.
Not just a shop, but a place. Somewhere people can gather, linger, laugh a little louder, and feel like they belonged.
Named after our 80 pound gray and white Pitbull, Clutch, and our beloved pug, Throttle, who we lost during Covid but carry with us in spirit every day, this café was built with heart from the very beginning. Clutch brought the strength. Throttle brought the personality. Together, they inspired a space that is bold, welcoming, and just a little playful.
Our 15 year old rescue Maltipoo, Doobie, joins us in the shop often. His name did not quite fit the motorcycle theme, but we promise his feelings are not hurt. He runs quality control, accepts belly rubs, and reminds us daily why good dogs make everything better.
What started as a simple idea turned into something bigger. A community hub in the Catskills where locals, weekenders, families, skiers, hikers, artists, and entrepreneurs all share the same tables.
We serve custom roasted coffee made just for us, bake cookies fresh every day, spin hand crafted milkshakes, and create a space where conversations matter as much as what is in your cup.
And yes, good dogs are always welcome.
